Biography

Song Kang-ho is South Korea's greatest and most beloved film actor — a performer of extraordinary range, naturalism, and physical expressiveness whose work with director Bong Joon-ho has produced some of world cinema's most celebrated films. His portrayal of Ki-taek in Parasite brought him to global attention as the patriarch whose bottled-up rage and quiet humiliation builds to its shattering conclusion. He also won Best Actor at Cannes for Broker (2022).
