James Cameron is the most commercially successful film director in history, responsible for three of the six highest-grossing films of all time — Titanic, Avatar, and Avatar: The Way of Water. His obsessive perfectionism, technological innovation, and genuine belief in the power of spectacle have consistently raised the ceiling of what cinema can achieve visually. Cameron spent years developing underwater photography and 3D technology before filming Avatar, and is currently developing Avatar sequels that will continue to redefine visual filmmaking.
