A two-time Academy Award winner — for Glory and Training Day — he combines magnetic intensity with remarkable technical precision. Washington has excelled in action films, prestige dramas, Shakespearean adaptations, and thrillers with equal conviction. His collaboration with director Antoine Fuqua has produced several of his most commercially successful films. In 2022, he received an Honorary Palme d'Or at Cannes.
