The final entry in the new Strangers trilogy brings Maya back for a showdown with the masked killers but this time, she wants revenge. Critics were brutal. Horror fans showed up anyway.
Maya's Revenge
The new Strangers trilogy ends where it began: Maya (Madelaine Petsch) facing the three masked strangers, but now armed with the fury of everything they put her through. Renny Harlin, best known for 90s action cinema (Die Hard 2, Cliffhanger), brings a more muscular visual approach to the horror than the previous instalments the action sequences have real propulsion, even if they trade the slow, creeping dread of the original 2008 film for something louder and more conventional.
"Petsch commits completely and deserves a better film. But as a horror franchise finale, it delivers the confrontation fans have been waiting for."

An 18% on RT reflects critical exasperation; a 49% audience score suggests horror fans found more to like. If you've followed the trilogy, it's a satisfying enough close. If you haven't, start with the 2008 original instead.
